With kind permission of our hosts on this forum, Treefrog Treasures, we'd like to say hello;

JJD UK - http:/www.jjduk.co.uk

We would like to thank David and Mark of TM Terrain for working with us to ensure a smooth transition, and hopefully minimal disruption to collectors. We realise we have a tough act to follow, and wish them all the best with the continuation of their business selling their excellent dioramas and terrain boards.

Moving forward, we have been made aware that no August releases have been shipped to the UK, therefore we will be shipping these with the new mid September releases.

As collectors ourselves we are extremely enthusiastic about John's work and look forward to meeting, sharing and enjoying the hobby with you all.

now our press release;

The new company will continue to support John's UK collector base and are looking forward to exhibiting at the December Toy Soldier Show, especially as John will be in attendance, previewing some very large future releases. JJD UK is James Brierley, a frequent visitor to Hong Kong, where his day job is creating and selling tin boxes, having previously worked in the arts as a prop maker, and later a sculptor for Royal Doulton, Adam Pulman, is an experienced Facilities Manager, also having spent time in the props and entertainment industry, the pair have been close friends for 20 years.

JJD UK will major exclusively in John Jenkins models, buildings and vehicles.

The new website - jjduk.co.uk went live on 1st September, where one can register for updates via the newsletter, collector club pre-orders and new releases. For all enquiries please email info@jjduk.co.uk.

as a current JJD US collector...I probably won't be doing business with a UK JJD dealer due to logistics...but I just visited your new website and was impressed...very nice job on displaying and categorizing your JJD offerings...

I'm sure this is explained on your site somewhere...but I couldn't readily find it...I'm curious...

what are the "reward points" you offer and how are they redeemed?

also...I wish you a prosperous arrangement...good luck...

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your kind comments, the website is still a work in progress, although fully functional,
there are a few bits we still need to add, and many improvements we can think of.
The reward points are one of the bits we are still working on, we hope to add them all in and explain about them on the site, over the next couple of weeks, once they are fully implemented.

Please take another look in about 14 days and they should be explained under their own heading, we haven't added yet.

kind regards
james

James...thanks for the quick reply...sounds like a good deal for the UK collectors on redeeming points...incentives like that to the buyer are always appreciated...

James,
as a keen appraiser and collector of John's beauties I wish to JJD.UK all the best for the new fantastic adventure.
I'll go to create my account asap hoping there are not impediments to foreign subscribers.
Very best wishes
Carlo

Hi Carlo,
We are excited to be able to do this.
Please feel free to create your account.
thank you for your welcome.
Kind regards
James

BEST OF LUCK JJD UK! ^&grin

I am glad to see that the John Jenkins products will be in good hands. Your web page looks great so far and I am looking forward to seeing even more improvments.

A sugggestion that I might make is to add a British Pound to US Dollar convertor or post the USD beside the Pound. I can never remember what the rate is and it stops the "impulse" buy since I am never sure what the cost is.

Hope to see some great dioramas and other examples of JJD and companion products.

Good Luck, God Save the Queen, Stiff Upper Lip and all that Brit stuff!!! ^&grin {sm4} --- Larry

Things one needs to know about the real Major Duncan Heyward:

Born in Virginia --- not Scotland. Though your father is from Scotland. Think a young George Washington.
You fall for Alice, not Cora. You like blondes!!!
In turn, Alice falls for you. You make a happy couple. You get the girl!!!!
You are alive at the end of the Novel, as is Alice.
You will not have a sister-in-law. Cora is dead, killed by a Huron warrior guarding her, not Magua. Our very own Carlo is heart-broken at this sad news.
Colonel Monro is your father-in-law and he is alive, but will soon die of a heart attack in Albany at the age of 57.
You are a member of the Royal American 60th, not the 35th.
You do not wear lace on your uniform, but as a Royal you get to wear blue pants!!!
Unlike the movie, you do not say unbelievably dumb stuff concerning French Artillery and siege practices during officer meetings.
You are somewhat "green" about wilderness ways, but you are an honorable man and not a pathetic liar.
You are a reasonably decent shot, but that is expected as you are American.

Welcome!!!!!
