I remember seeing some pictures, which I cannot find, of a Roman fortification in resin, unpainted, on the forum. Put up by JJ, any news on when/if they will be released?

Don’t know a thing about the Roman fort, although I seem to recall that an unpainted prototype was displayed at a TS-show. Contact Jenkins, and I’m pretty sure that he will respond with info.

I think I remember hearing the fort may surface around Sept, here's hoping. Robin.

That is epic!!^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool I have no room for it, but I will undoubtedly buy a gate and enough sections to build a small fort. John's work is often just too good to pass on.:smile2:

Start lining those sections up, and the fort would grow in size in a hurry.

Then again, it might work pretty well on a shelf.

I believe JJD designed these as the Roman circumvalations of Alesia erected by Julius Caesar during the siege. The extensive JJD line of Gauls would be part of this line along with the JJD Romans.

Roman marching camps usually had a palisade of sharpened stakes and rarely a watch tower.

A good film that accurately depicts the siege of Alesia is Druids 2001 and it is on Youtube for free!
Christopher Lambert plays Verscingetorix and Klaus Maria Brandauer plays Caesar.

Ugh......not a good movie, IMO.

I'm hoping John has some Republican Romans planned for manning these works. - Currently buying FL Caesarian Romans to go with the JJD Gauls, and would happily add John's Legionaries to the mix if he would release some.

You will not be disappointed!

Excellent! - As much as I like the early FL Romans, there is just something about John Jenkins' creativity and sculpting style I really love.
Can't wait to see what he brings to the table.
