Joshua Chamberlain article on twitter (1 Viewer)

Are you know part of the Twitter world?

Brad, I don't really ' tweet ' , but I do follow quite a few ' tweeters' . Plenty of History tweeters ; RAF Museum Hendon, IWM, Historian Paul Reed, WW2 in real time etc, one or two comedians, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Fry, and BBC news etc etc. Its often a good source for forthcoming books, tv docus etc and Ricky Gervais arguments with people who berate him for not believing in God are often hilarious! (if a tad obscene on occasion)

Ricky Gervais is one of the good guys!

I have never tweeted because the name sounds silly and trivial. I have enough problems with those things as is!

I'm the same. I'm registered with them -- name is not too hard to figure out -- but only tweet occasionally. Have picked up some interesting articles from there.

"...When he was at the seminary, we always had known he had some kind of relationship with his first cousin, Annie. In this, there are 11 letters from Annie to him, making it very clear they had an intimate relationship for at least a year. Fannie (his wife, Frances) was in Georgia, and he was in the seminary. ..."

Oh Crimminy! We'll have to read the book to see what "intimate" means to a modern author.
