Terry
I am getting numbers changed to go with same unit

Scott,

I am very jealous. I think the JS-2 is a superb tank and is my favourite model within my collection at present. I'm looking forward to further vehicles in their Eastern Front series.

I would also like to see a Whittman Tiger done to compliment their Firefly from last year.

I think a second number would sell quite nicely. With only 100 units in a production run, go for it Rick!:)

seeing the JS2 and the panzer IV, i would like to see a a proper Figarti-quality Panther/KV etc..:)

Hello Guys
Clive is going to post pics of the revised JS2 when he gets it hopefully tomorrow :D:D since i am hopeless at posting pics
Cant wait to get this

As requested by Scott, here's some photos of the renumbered JS-2 .
The paint job is very well done by none other than our good friend Simon (Wraith) who keeps his talents very quiet but I would suggest should now be taking commissions!!
Enjoy
Regards
Clive

WOW....VERY NICE......This is something I have often requested from K/C years ago.....that WWII tanks be offerred in two different turret numbers..(Request Ignored)..in order to have two tanks in a diorama....... Maybe we will start to see Figarti, K/C, and First Legion consider this as a feature.....there could be a production quota of a primary turret turret number and then a limited production of a secondary number for those collectors who want to purchase 2 tanks......Also instead of retiring tanks simply re-release the tank say every 3-4 years in limited numbers with a new turret number and maybe with "slight" variations (eg different tank commander).....That way collectors can build there diorama's over the years and keep consistency and interest in the development of tank battle scenes......What do you guys think??

I think we will see more of this with items that sell out quickly. K&C has already done this with the new Hurricane, the airfield quonset hut and the LCA. In the past they produced 2 Char bis tanks and 2 different stugs. Figarti seem to be coming out with 2 seasonal versions of popular items - winter and summer.

That JS-2 repaint is sensational, very good job Wraith. In regards to Vezzolf's request, I think as PW mentioned manufacturers are starting to do this on some models. I myself don't collect duplicates however for those who do the request seems reasonable. I don't see why this would be a big problem for manufacturers however not being one I can't say for sure.

I am impressed with the JS2 and I have seen the tank riders too. I wont be getting it as I already have "432" from a plastic manufacture.

My question is would manufacturers produce unnumbered tanks ?? to allow purchasers to organise their own numbering.

What annoys me is that EVERY manufacturer produces "432". OK it is a famous tank ....... but the written histories indicate another unit starting with "5".

I also agree alternate number issues should be available -it would only boost sales !! Why have 1 tank when you can have two !!

Very impressive set of JS2's. Really like the setting they are in, too. -- Al

Excellent job, congratulations to IONA, Clive and of course Simon - brilliant.

Vezzolf - I think you are absolutely right. :) I have a few Barkmanns and winter panthers plus odds and sods other HB kit left from my day as a trader.

A set of HJB sdkfz 250's and Barkmanns are currently with a friend of mine who kindly agreed to do me a platoon from the same division.

If that goes well, the winter panthers will be next, I could have a half company!

On a serious note, if you want to model, wargame etc you can buy the kits you want and paint them for your unit/year etc. This is not possible collecting toy soldiers, you currently have to follow the manufacturers.

HB led the way of course with their gold edition but price prohibitive?

Tanks are like camels eh? - you can't have enough.
