There might be a Berlin connection to all of this...Rudel & the T-34. In one of LeTissier's books (Our Backs to Berlin?) he tells a short story of panzergrenadier company on the east bank of the Oder as the Russians are showing up. A Russian tank unit had just entered this German town on the east bank & this German kampfgruppe is told to drive them out of the village. Naturally, they did not relish this proposal. So they drive in their halftracks up the river road just shor t of the town, disembark, and are planning on attacking what they perceive as a tough objective through a field. As they are crawling on their stomachs through the field up to the town, they hear this buzzing behind them. Over them flies (who they think is Rudel) one of these Stukas, the pilot waves his wings, and climbs to altitude & drops straight down on the city square. Next thing they here is pop pop pop, and smoke starts rising from the town. He took them all out iirc
