As a young boy I loved this movie, although it scared the hell out of me. The summer after the movie came out my family vacationed in Lake George, upstate NY, and I refused to go swimming.

Wonderful classic b&w trilogy. Always been a Creature fan and these movies were never remade in color.

My parents had a vacation home, on a lake, down in the Cape Cod area of Mass.
I "know for fact" that the evil creature lived just past the end of our dock and would come out at night in search of dinner.

Thank God I was a skinny little kid at the time so I would be good eatin'.
