That looks great Robin. It doesn't come with the stairs and porch though does it?

Yes, that T.G. hut is a fantastic piece. I also like the setting that you placed it in.
Obviously, the USMC hasn't landed yet, since there doesn't seem to be to much panic.

Nice inspiration for putting my hut into use.

The added porch and stairs add a lot to the scene. I gotta' do that too.
Very clever.

A possible fit out. Robin.

I (foolishly) missed out on those, T.G. huts so I will have to experience the joy through yours and others.
I did buy myself some bamboo rods in "Hobby Lobby" so I might give that a shot ...?

A bit crowded but they still work out well.

Thanks, Robin

This is so cool Robin. Your first exterior picture looked great, then I saw what was hiding in the hut - an intelligence operation. The details are superb!
Now I have to take another look at this dio - awesome!

Great little extension and also a very realistic improvement Robin, well done my son as we say over here in England!

Hi Robin,

I was looking at some of these older Pacific dioramas and came across this one. Pardon the bump.

My son is working with pastels and had recently asked me if I could possibly use them to create a backdrop for my military dioramas.

Was wondering if you created the backdrop for this amazing dio? It looks great.

Unfortunately Rob, a one off. My sister-in-law painted this one for me, plus another ten over the last 5 years. This one has also doubled for my Vietnam series. It is on ply board, so solid also. Agree you need a good backdrop to bring any dio to life. Good luck in your hunt and heartened to hear a younger person is involved with this hobby. Robin.

I've often thought that those painted backdrops of Robin's really set his dioramas off. :salute::

the interior of the Japanese hut was one of the best modifications Robin has ever done...
it is a beauty!!!

Completely agree. Love seeing how Robin adds his unique touch/mods to dios like this.

Now we need TGM to offer a B series to the small huts for those of us who missed out on 1st round.

I am SO glad this thread got bumped as I obviously missed this great work when it was posted last year- {bravo}}

(and I would LOVE to get my hands on one of those small huts for my Viet dios....no one seems to be parting with them)
