I know there are alot of active and retired law enforcement people on this forum. I just thought it fitting to recognize those that have fallen this week in the line of duty. This has been a devasting 2 weeks in law enforcement. P.O. killed in PA, P.O. killed in Livonia MI, 2 P.O.s killed in Miami and I just learned that some nut just walked into the 6th prec. in Detroit and opened fire on officers hitting 4 of them before the gunman was killed (unknown status of Detroit officers). God bless them and their families.

All 4 Detroit coppers survived.
You know why there are policemen, so firemen have heroes.

Good to hear the cops survived. Reports indicate 2 are in critical condition. One shot in the head the other in the back.

Two Deputy Sheriff's shot while responding to a "suspicious character" call from the Port Orchard, Washington Wal Mart. Only fatality was the shooter. Port Orchard is a sleepy suburb of Brenton, not a high crime area.

Had a pretty high profile police funeral here in Baltimore last week-one officer shot another!!

Just read an article about the plain clothes officer who was shot by responding officers. Terrible circumstances. Hate to see a officer die especially like that.

Also just read 2 police officers from St. Petersburg FL were killed today.

Just read about a shooting at a Wal-Mart in Washington state that left two deputies wounded and two suspects dead. What the heck is going on? I salute all Police Officers who all work for relatively low wages and never know what awaits them on the next call. -- Al

A Big Amen to that.
