Just wondering if any of you have K&C Napoleonic series pm01 and pm02, these were the two Peter and Shannon had on E-Bay (One of them is Napoleon standing), I know they are a little rare but was just wondering if any of you bought them when the Napoleonic line first started?

Cheers

Also wanted to ask if Andy had very many Napoleonics prior to the new series????

There was a time when you couldn't search on eBay or go to an average toy fair without tripping over the Del Prado versions of those figures. However, the K&C versions issued to dealers would probably only have passed into the collections of a small number of buyers and unless you've established a good relationship with one of the dealers I don't think it'd be likely to prise one away from any of those who took on the Napoleonic sets at that time (which was still seen as something of a risk back then for some unknown reason). Best case scenario would be finding the names of who passed on what to whom and perhaps sounding out the end buyers. Del Prado is probably a more realistic option, though of course its not K&C.

I have the two figures, I bought them from a reputable dealer...I was just wondering if anyone else had them...Thanks
for your reply though......:)

Yes i have both figures! And i have two of the napoleon. They are the same figures as the del prado #14 (napoleon)and #67(estorffs hussars hanover) repainted a little differently (the hussar repainted as a british hussar) and are labled king and country under the base and come in K&C box with the pm#1 and pm#2 stickers on them. from what i hear they were given out based on how munch they sold, some dealers getting more than others, some getting none. they,ve gotten really hard to find these days. when i got mine when they first came out i paid $25.00 each but the ones that just sold on ebay sold for i think $112.00 each. I,m glad i got mine when i did. after seeing what they sold for i called back to my dealer to see if he had any left and he still had 2 napoleons left so i bought them both and sold one and kept the other for future resale for profit! $$$ as you only need one napoleon on a battle feild! As wellington would say napoleons hat on the battle feild is like 30,000 more men!!!

TWO!!!!!!!!.....You lucky man you, what did you pay for them both from your dealer, if you paid just $25.00, you were very lucky!!

WELLINGTON......:)

I won,t tell you you then ,as you think i,m lucky now, you,ll hate me if i tell you what i paid for them and what i resold one for to a member of this forum who i hope dosn,t see this:D . If he does see this i still got my eyes out for your pm2 and i,ll let you know if i come across another i,ll grab it for you!

Yeah I saw it. Your check's in the mail. I am glad to hear you did well, but I only bought it for the book, and as a gift for co-author Hans, who is a big Napoleonic fan.

I,m sorry louis! i wasn,t going to mention your name, but you still paid less than the ebay auction and you saved on shipping.:D Just don,t write in the book that you got the napoleon figure from a scum bag please.

I paid 30.00 each so total 60.00 for the pair..of course I had to pay for shipping and tax....I'm very happy with them they are very nice...funny if you set them side by side Napoleon is shorter than the other which looks really neat considering he was short!!! What ever the price you paid I think it's worth every penny considering how hard they are to find.

Cheers
WELLINGTON....:)

Guys, its no big deal. The market price is set by ebay, and you did nothing wrong asking me for it. I promise to delete the term "scumbag" from the final draft of the book. Just kidding!

:) Sooo, your gona' to leave "scumbag" in??? I bet fishead will just love that new id (he's gona' be angry at me any way for outbidding him on ebay in the next couple of days :)

your right sceic2 you will be out bidding me! That last figure #65 royal horse got way to rich for my blood. i,m going to wait for the usa release, you could get 3 or 4 for the price of what some of these have been going for. I really like that figure too, but i,m going to wait. And fishead19690 ( I love to fish) is almost as bad as scumbag:p thats what happens when every possible name known to man is already taken online. You know its bad when you have to change fish head to fishead then 1969 to 19690 ect. ect. , so i,m pretty sure scumbags taken already as i,m sure there are a few more scumbags out there.:D I hear that there is a mamaluke figure coming out next, thats one i,ve been wanting so i,ll have to TRY and out bid you on that if its true!
