Hi Guys
Just imagine listening to the bugler who played THE CHARGE ...........ACTUALLY play it!!!!
How cool would that be?!?
Well you can because I have tracked down a recording made in 1890 on the 2nd of August by Trumpeter Landfrey on a Edison brown wax cylinder!!
Landfrey was a bugler in the Light Brigade at the Battle of Balaklava, October 25, 1854, of the Crimean War. On this recording Landfrey plays a trumpet that was used at the Battle of Waterloo, June 18, 1815, of the Napoleonic Wars.
Click here to listen to him play this historic Charge!
Talk about technology bring history to life!
Watch out for the K&C figure of Trumpeter Landfrey being added to the collection!
Cheers
