One of my favorite figures because it's so colorful is this K & C glossy 7th Hussar that was first released in 1995. Unfortunately, my photos don't do it justice but you can see how it was vividly painted.

When First Legion announced last year that it was doing a French Guard Chausseur Scout, I was struck by some of the similarities and determined to get it as they would make a nice contrast to one another. The third photo is from the First Legion catalogue and is remarkably painted. It's a fantastic figure, with incredible detail, obviously quite different from the K & C one but both are superb in their own right.

The last two photos show them side by side, which is the way I keep them in my cabinet.

Nice figures, Brad! One the very best you can see in a traditional glossy toy soldier, the other a fine connosier figure.:cool:

Thanks Louis. They really are great figures, both representing different styles and both at the top of their game.

Those are indeed both impressive figures; each in its own way and for its own reasons. It is even more impressive to see them displayed together; nice choices Brad.
