Apologies if this has been answered before, but I couldn't find it.

I'm fairly new to this scale of toy soldiers, so do the K&C and Del Prado mounted knights match up sizewise or is there a noticeable size difference?

Cheers

The Del Prado figures vary greatly in size and quality. Some are very good and will range between 60 and 64mm tall from the top of the base to the top of the head. Some are of lesser quality and are somewhat smaller! K&C are more even in quality and size. Carefully selected they can work together. Andy of K&C likes to say that people are different sizes, which is correct within limits!

The Defending the Eagle; Death of a Legion diorama combines Del Prado Rome and Her Enemies figures with K&C Barbarian figures very effectively IMO.

The old Del Prado perfectly match up with KC( ex. napoleonics, medievals). The new Del Prado are smaller then KC.

Del Prado has many lines; but the Rome and Her Enemies figures are of the best quality and 60mm size the earlier they were made, thus the lowest model numbers seem to be the best figures. The Del Prado Barbarian figures I have are equal in Quality to the K&C Barbarian figures and are the same size. A Google search will bring up a lot of del Prado references and if you select images you can evaluate the quality. Del Prado SRM-011 is a figure of Decebalus the Dacian King and is of very good quality and is based upon the Osprey illustration of Decebalus by Angus McBride. Many Del Prado figures seem to be based upon Osprey Illustrations and I think their was a connection where Del Prado figures were sold with an Osprey mini book; these are the best figures IMO.
