Hi,

Trying to determine if a set that I might buy is in the correct original box. It is set WS048. Should it be in a green, plaid or photo box?

Thanks,

Seth

It could be all of them because although the first run might be in a green box, later runs might be in different boxes. I take it the box doesn’t have the WS 48 number on a sticker on the box?

I looked on eBay and one auction has a green box while another has the plaid box.

Speaking only for me, I wouldn’t get hung up on the particular box as long as you have one.

Hi,

Thanks, I didn't realize that the same set might have been sold in different boxes. That explains the confusion.

Real interesting topic actually. There have been many changes over the years in box styles and so many series. But the question was well answered in saying it depends on when the set was made and taking a look at how other similar sets on the market are boxed.

I have bought multiples of particular figures from K n C and dealers and they have come in different boxes. So as Bradsaid don5 get hung up on that.

There are collectors that buy based on the box.

I once sold a Wittmann WS 043 simply because it was in a white K&C box.
