:( Okay since the board has Andy's attention maybe he can shed some light on the Collector's Club.As a member I would like to hear some intel on what's on the forefront. There seems to be a lag in that dept or lack of information since joining the club over a year ago.Is there going to be a new collector figure introduced?I do get the emails of the latest releases but the brochures seem not to be coming this way or have been delayed recently.
As a general poll how many board members here are members of the K&C Collector's Club?Maybe we can have some ideas for the club posted???

I never joined the club but if he had some WW II pieces, I'd do it in a second. The pieces there are nice but not enough to make me want to join.

Strictly WWII

I didn't join because I strictly collect WWII figures. I can't imagine how large my collection would be if I collected other eras. I'm building an addition to my house and planning on making one whole side of the wall as a built-in display cabinet to display all my WWII sets.

I joined the K&C collector club because their French Foreign Legionaire figure was fantastic! It was worth the $35.00, believe me. I wanted to purchase two additional figures, from the Napoleonic period, and I was informed that I had to make a minimum purchase of $75.00. This combined with the two new figures, a crusader and yet another german from WWII, put me off of the K&C club. As a result, I am not renewing my membership to the K&C collector club. K&C makes some of the best figures, however, there are a lot of products on the market with reasonable painting and detail that also merit collecting.

Just my opinion

I received my two club figures today and would have to say that the crossbowman is the better of the two. With that said I would strongly have to agree with the previous post and might not rejoin again unless their was more of an incentive offered. Most dealers include the brochures in their orders so I just don't see why I should continue. My thoughts would be that the biggest selling line for K&C was the WWII sets so it would just make more sense to offer a unique figure from that time period to club members. We could always use more German Tank Commanders in different poses!!!
Just my opinion...

I too just joined for a second year and I would have to agree with Fullyauto, that at least one of the collector figures should be WW2 as that seems to be the main focus of collecting.
For any one who cares, K&C is the company that does the DelPrado Medieval figures. I,m not a fan of that era, but the figures look nice.

Just a question. Do they offer any sort of special club only figures like the Britains club does? That is aside from the figure you get for joining? The Britains folks offer special release figures that are limited editions and a news magazine The Standard and contests for club members to try and win some of their latest limited editions. I dont know how many club members try these contests but I will say you have a great chance to win something when you do enter. I did on one occasion and won a beautiful model of Queen Elizabeth II at the Order of the Garter Cerimony The picture is posted on Treefrogs picture site. They also give a decent discount when you order from them or make a purchase at their store in the UK. So does K&C do the same?

No contest or anything like that. I joined so I could buy the figures. You get an occasional brochure, but I usually already have it from a recent purchase.
Also I pick up news of upcoming sets from dealers messages etc. long before I get it from K&C.
To be honest, if you don,t want the special figures, it is not worth joining.
Having said that, the fee for joining the club is what you would normally pay for a figure, so it balances it,s self out.

Hello, I just found this terrific message board and I am glad to meet other collectors. I also joined the Collectors Club last year and received two very nice figures. I received one nice packet of flyers but have not heard anymore about the club. I have been collecting King and Country for last 7 years and I am glad it is becoming more popular. Does anyone have any idea of the production runs?
I know some of the early sets were done in runs of 500. Anyone know the current runs?
Thanks
John A
