First off, do not ask for pics, as my batteries crapped out..Recieved my K/C Tank and it is the exact size of the ONWTC Mark..They could be twins, except for the paint scheme..( I much prefer the color of the ONWTC version, whereas the guns swivel side to side and the trench wood add on,makes the K/C more detailed..) I would encourage all to buy both, as they fit well together and creates a nice looking Tank unit..Michael

Found batteries!

Awesome thanks for telling us. I dont own the K&C one or ONTC but never really looked in to ontc ww1 stuff.

The Old Northwest WWI issues are quite nice, particularly the Renaults; comes with its own built in mini diorama.

Thanks for the comparison..the Mark IV is one of my objectives for the next months, i like the ONWTC WWI tanks , and if i could choose then i'd go for the Renault and the "hairy ones"...i think this will be not the last WWI tank we'll receive from K&C...

The piece of wood on top of the tank...what is the purpose?

I thought the wooden beam was used to scrape the mud off of the tracks as the tracks rolled underneath the beam. In old photos, you usually see a huge load of tree limbs tied together on top of the tanks. These are then dropped into the trench and the tank rolls easily onto victory.

Known as a ditching or unditching beam. It could be used to help get the tank out of soft ground. This is the same purpose of the logs you see strapped to tanks.

Im sure will see a tank for the Germans.
ONWTC makes the German A7V, with infantry. The obvious question to me on the Mk. IV size comparison is if KC figures match up with ONWTC figures, otherwise we once again have a scale question. I have ONWTC WW1 tanks and figures but no KC WW1 so I can't answer the figure question, but the ONWTC figures I have are pretty close size wise compared to KC WW2 figures, although the ONWTC are somewhat slimmer. Anyone know if the two makes will go together? -- lancer
