I am new K&C collector and New to this Forum.
My interests are two fold I collect K&C Napoleonics and WW2 Luftwaffe and RAF Aces. Does anybody else on thus Forum Collect K&C Napoleonics?
The new Range of Napoleonipc French 7th Hussars are superbly detailed and are posed in mostly great off duty poses, playing cards, eating, talking, having there portrait done, while a couple on guard duty. They are based on @1806-1808 period uniforms.
K&C have a supplementary figure which is only available from K&C directly French 7th Hussar Trumpeter. I believe there only 1 per Customer too. Superb Detail.

I will Amateur review these latest figures on this Forum later.. If anyone is interested.

Please review away .. if you will. Am particularly interested to know what you think about the potrait sets.

Can never be too much NAP talk on here. :salute::

Well here's my Review of the K&C new Napoleonic French 7th Hussars.
First impressions are very good and the detail is excellent.. The selection of different sets show the 7th Hussars mainly at Rest and relaxing while two figures are on guard duty (on and off the horse) which gives the collector plenty of options to display them in dioramas. The 7th Hussars are depicted in their @1806-1808 uniforms wearing their green on campaign overall trousers and some in the scarlet red breeches. With the Dolman and pelisse (Jacket) darkish green and Gilet (VEST) (Green with yellow/gold lace) for rank and file. With reverse for Trumpeters. However a few actual historical painting and accounts show variations to these colours, But K&C have gone with the majority of sources. The Shako is black for rank and file troopers, but Green combo with black for Trumpeters. By the time of Waterloo all were Shakos were green and the Trumpeter had a green Dolman/pelisse but with yellow arm braiding.
All the figures are well painted the proportions sizes of the bodies, swords are all realistic. The horses are very life like and even the fractionally smaller horse size than the more K&C Cuirassiers Horses is correct as Hussar horses tended to be bred for lighter more manoeuvrable speed. The only criticisms I can draw is the Horse Troopers Blanket Roll is missing the Regiment Number for some reason? The other thing I observed was the Pom poms on the figures are red which normally denote the 1st Squadron that would normally would wear the COLPACK (black busby with red bag). But there's some uncertainty when this Regiments 1st Squadron got them. But even so would of had red.plume.

The K&C French 7th Hussars series comes with also a serving maid and too standing horses one of which is eating which all make for some good dioramas.

All in All a very good range. ^&cool and I am very happy with them. Highly recommended. Price increases though make it a bit expensive!{eek3}
The Trumpeter is a Strictly Limited Edition Release and therefore will be hard as hens teeth to find in a few years time. See earlier post. Like the French Princess Josephine Dragoons standing Trumpeter?:cool:

Please add your impressions of them here. Here below are a just a small selection of pictures from K&C website.

A good review, Captain Smart.

What I would like to add, is that this new line mixes well with the older "non-combat" sets from King & Country.
Here are a few pics to show some of them with the Cantiniere, the drinking Cuirassier and the 4 sitting troopers from various regiments.

I enjoy non-combat scenes and am very pleased that these got released.

Happy Collecting!
