Here is word on some new figures that will be coming out mid-summer. The words from Andy himself:

"Great news for fans of our Napoleonic figures…

We’ve redesigned four of our French Dragoon figures to make them the 4th Regiment of Dragoons of the Line. They are:

NA78(S) New Dragoon Guidon Bearer $79

NA79(S) New Dragoon Charging w/ Sword $69

NA80(S) New Dragoon w/ Pistol $69

NA81(S) New Dragoon Fighting w/ Sword $69

Only 300 of each figure will be produced – in a new venture called “King & Country Strictly Limited”. Each figure comes in a specially designed Napoleonic-themed box."

We expect these to be quite popular. You can see what they will look like at http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/NA78to81.JPG

We'd love your feedback (as if we have to ask for it  ). You can start reserving them today.

I don't plan on collecting K&C Napoleonics, but I have to say that this product line from Andy is Awesome!!
BTW, if the strictly limited figures are quantity 300, then are the regular figures quantity 500?

If I didn't have to worry about money and space, I would be interested in this series. Looking at this in a broader, I'd live to be able to get Revolutionary series, Hong Kong and Egypt. The Egypt series looks just spectacular. Well, we can't always get what we want, can we? ;)

Overall the figures look very good. Unfortunately the castings weren't changed enough to get rid of the aiguillettes. These shoulder cords were not worn by dragoon line regiments such as depicted, but were a distinction given to cavalry regiments of the Imperial Guard.

Awesome! I am primarily a Britains collector but there will be space made for some of there. Thanks for the update

I think Andy's Napoleonic cavalry are as close to St. Peterburg as you can get without a passport. They are more than toy soldiers, but, I just don't have the room . . . By the way, Andy's sets are presently run to around 1000 before they are retired. In the past, the Desert Storm Commemorative set was limited to 200 sets, and the early Seaforths, Axis Leaders and Arnhem sets were limited to an authorized 500 sets (of which, often, less than 500 were actually sold), so a 300 set release is pretty limited.

I have a question. Has King and Country done a set of the Chasseur a Cheval similiar to the Dragoons? I really like the way they look and was just curious. Thanks

Will these new figures also be offered painted as Dragoons of the Guard, so they can be added on to the original group? I hope so. It would make a dramatic charge display as they crash into the Highlanders.

Andy did do a mounted Chasseur A Cheval, but I think he was an aide de camp, and not in an action pose.

Yes I have seen that one I hope they do a set of the Chasseurs that would be a really great set!

For the K&C UK Club (of which I'm a member) the 2003 offering was a choice of either a WWII figurine or a historical military-themed or civilian-themed one. The 03-CIV was a modified version of the gift-givers set (HK105) from the 'Streets of Old Hong Kong', the 03-MIL was the 'Red Top' Military Policeman from the EA05 set, and the historical military figurine was 03-NAP, which was a special figure, what they described as a French gunner from the Old Guard Foot Artillery. Sure enough, like 95% of K&C UK members I opted for the WWII figure. Now I'm becoming interested in the Napoleonics and am kicking myself that I didn't get what was going at the time. (Incidentally K&C UK have now discontinued the end-of-year special on account of so many people wishing to stay within their core interests. That is a pity as it is often quite likely that people who start off as WWII will become Ancient Egypt, American Revolution and eventually everything K&C!). Sorry to ramble on a bit but I was wondering if there are many other people interested in Naopleonics who actually obtained the 2003 'special' figure.
