Cheers,

Any information regarding this resin King & Country Hanomag would be very much appreciated to include actual year of manufacture; number made; variations, etc. Did it come with a figure(s) or was it simply a stand alone vehicle? It really does not fit into my collection especially since it is my only DAC vehicle but it was too unique to pass on. Had to see one in the flesh!

Thanks to Uncle Bill Sager it looks like this is TK04 with an original price of $256.00 way back whenever. I appreciate any help whatsoever. Merry Christmas and or whatever you may be celebrating this Holiday Season.

Thanks,
Marc

Louis Badolato is a K&C historian and expert on the older vehicles. He co-wrote a book on early K&C vehicles and I'm sure would have all the information you need.

Solid call! Those books slipped my mind. What a labor of love & some outstanding photography from Kevin!

Are you looking to sell it? If so, in their heyday they might have realized $500 or $600. Nowadays, I’d say $400 if you’re lucky.

Marc,

That is a wood and metal K&C Hanomag. It was made between 1996 and 1998. Here is a quote from the text for the book:

The Wood Hanomag was available in desert (two tone reddish brown and tan) or in the much rarer European (three-tone green and brown on tan) camouflage scheme. There is a wood machine gun set in a shield at the front of passenger compartment, and a pickaxe, axe and shovel mounted on the sides. This vehicle comes with a full figure of a commander wearing a green tunic with the sleeves rolled up and a soft cap with earphones, holding binoculars to his eyes. This vehicle, designated TK04, originally retailed for $256. Approximately 100 to 200 of these vehicles were produced.

Thanks Louis and sorry for the late reply. The ****ed thing is so light that I figured it was resin or similar. Definitely an unique piece of K&C history! Thanks for the history lesson.

Marc

This vehicle looks almost toyish by today's standards but "in the day" it would have been like "found gold" and real treasure!

This is nice item to add to a real collector stash of historical toy soldiers

It is toyish. I once purchased one to see what the fuss was all about and promptly sold it.

Well Brad, you can't please everyone...
Best wishes,
Andy.

Andy, it was great for it’s time but by the time I became a collector in 2004, your tanks had drastically improved. It was like night and day. No comparison.

Well, I was certainly pleased with all of your wood, metal and resin vehicles and warbirds. :salute:: They are still pretty much my favorite toy soldier related products.^&cool^&cool

Cheers Kevin!

The photo was much appreciated! Thank you kindly.

Tailwinds,
Marc

Marc you are welcome - the 3 camo version was recently posted in the 'bored tonight' diorama thread and the K&C photos thread - if you want other views let me know.
