Thought you'd all be excited to hear that recently, while channel surfing, I stumbled across a popular Australian television soap opera called 'McLeod's Daughters' (a kind of outback Desperate Housewives without the outlandish storylines, but with lots of horses). This would normally send me frantically scrabbling for the remote, but my interest was momentarily aroused when one of the characters opened a large package which turned out to contain K&C Crusaders. Imagine my surprise!

Now, the Toy Soldier collector in me was naturally thrilled by this, but my cynical side wonders if we aren't seeing a clever new marketing ploy by K&C. Win the wives over with cunning product placement in their favourite TV shows. This would certainly make my job easier when mounting a case for my next purchase.

Also, is it true that there's some K&C product to be seen in the new Pirates of the Carribean movie? Once again - win the wives over by subconciously planting the idea that Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom have some interest in K&C? Genius!

Do you remember the episode? I wonder if it's on Youtube.

Sounds like a programme Tony would be real interested in. :)

Mass Marketing for K&C - First Disney and now Aussie TV

For all those detractors out there who think Andy is a leader of a cult on this forum - watch out.........We are expanding  Yes, thats right we are coming into homes throughout the world to expand the our cultic ways of Toy Soldier Collecting - for fun and profit - oh no

Run - Hide  The masses are forming in favor of one great company...:D

Gentlemen, what you are witnessing is the first stage in the campaign of world domination by toy soldier collectors. Subtle beginnings. Infiltration of the media is just the beginning; soon the schools, then the WORLD...........AH I can see it now. What a glorious world it will be  ;)

I bet the answer is far more simple than we have been thinking - the producer of the show is a big K&C collector, and he figured out a way to write off his collection - just depict the figures on his TV show and wallah, instant tax deduction to the toon of the thousands of dollars he spends! I wonder if I can use my toy soldiers as exhibits in Court?

Me: Now, Mr. Smith, please place this K&C Citroen where the car that hit you was when you first saw it.

The Witness: Here (indicating).

Me: Okay, now place the figure of the French Resistance captive where you were when the accident took place.

The Witness: In the crosswalk.

You think the IRS would buy it?

If that works --- Maybe one could claim to have been injured during a reenactment of Waterloo. :D

Genius! I need to pass out may card to re-enactors. As long as they are wearing their period custumes when they get into car accidents on the way to the National Park, or trip on potholes in the parking lots, I could use the toy soldiers as demonstrative evidence. The only problem is I'm an appellate attorney, and don't do those cases.

Didn't see any K&C at Disney. Saw a lot of Britains though.

Oh well Louis, there must be a slip and fall toy soldier collector out there somewhere! :D:D Besides, even if you lose, the exhibits are still a write off. ;)
