Guys

Things are hotting up on the K&C UK website. The 9 items have 14hrs left and the bids are changing all the time.

www.kingandcountry.co.uk i would put a link to the livbid but you have to be registered (which takes seconds) to be able to veiw the items and then bid.

items on there are:-

AN15 Bren Gun carrier
BWM set of 6 black watch
DD2 squad 2
DD3 running para and gunner
FJ01 Scwimwagon on patrol
FJ05 Ambush
SET 1 Battle for the Bridge
WS3W Despatch rider
WSS06 motorcycle and two riders

FJ01 is one they are going for. I have money on a few items so not telling which one i have it on as i want it.

It doesn't look like things are heating up to me. The reserve hasn't been met on all items except for one. If it was hot and heavy, those reserves would have been met.

But i was at London on Saturday gone and a lot of the European guys are waiting to see what happens at the last miinute. My bid must exceed the reserve!.........better do anyhow.

The brit bidders are funny always alast flurry on items that i put on e-bay.

Yeah that's how bidding goes here in the UK. Everyone snipes at the last minute. You'd be amazed how many bids can sneek in with 10 seconds to go.

I agree apart from the Scwimmwagen that things are quiet. Maybe Americans aren't bidding because of the postage. I bet though a lot of bids go in this evening.

It'll be interesting to see.

Looking at those old figures though, they are really nice but i do prefer the more recent stuff. Things have really improved haven't they, so much more detail and realistic expression?
 
Even in the US, there's a lot of sniping. That's just the way ebay works. But by the time an auction gets to near the end, the reserve has at least been met. I dont' think these qualify for that hot and heavy category.
 
Maybe Mike is playing it cool with the stash tony has mentioned.

I asked Tony Neville at the Toy Soldier Show London what other items his dad has and he said that there is enough items for a few months yet! So what they have who knows. Mike knows the K&C market very well. About time the europeans had a chance to bag some goodies on this side of the pond.

What i do like is that you can go to one place and see all the new stuff and also the bid old items. Saves a lot of trapsing around e-bay.

Easy i saw your thread about the AK24 did you have any luck? I only got mine last month, nice peice. Agree with Brad that the AK will be a good one for the future. Those new ones of Andy's are amazing and i cannot wait for them to come out. I have asked that one of each be put by for me with K&C UK.

anybody want to bag som ebargains the LIVEBID items only have 2hrs left and they are not at very high prices only two have gone over reserve, but i think that they are not that high reserve.

my first post on this thread i qouted 'hotting up' i agree with brad that i may have over stated the level!!

however i am getting autonotifications now that my bids are to low and i am being beated so i think the next two hours will tell!!

awesome site Tony Mike, makes for some good fun other than just collecting K&C

There are some interesting auctions but I'm going to wait until Mike and sons post some warbirds. Then you'll see some hot bidding!

I was chewed up too, after a slightly scary delay in my outbid notice e-mails reaching me. And £5 bid increments are quite steep too, which makes me reluctant to get caught up in the fray. Hopefully Mike will take pity on us all and pull some 2nd chance offers out of the hat. I doubt it though:there has to be a good feeling of getting something rare when winning the auction, even if 3 weeks later he turns up with the same thing form an estate sale.
 
Yeah slight delay on mail made it a bit of the unknown!. I bid as much as i like cannonfoder did not have to do it in £5.

mind i missed out on one and so have pumped my money in another!!!!:D
 
Hey Monty,

So did you get what you were after or hasn't it finished yet. I liked the look of the Battle for the Bridge set but it was much to pricey for me. As an FJ nut i was also tempted by the Scwimmwagen but i had to be strong and resist the temptation.

BTW Yeah i got an AK24 from Tony at K&C UK. It's a Christmas pressie so although it arrived today i'm saving it for the big day!

No lost out, was good fun and i feel has opened up a new aspect to K&C collecting. The Nevilles with the new London show and the new K&C site have certantly been working hard over the last few weeks.

Glad you got the AK from tony, him and his dad are always worth a shout as sometimes they try and hold onto certain items!!! they love it as well as sell it!

Last items all went at not bad prices but not looking to spend that on my kids for christmas yet. already bought my boy the new NAPS off of Mike at K&C UK and they also arrived today (my son was still at school phew!!) he picked them out at the show in London. So bought as a surprise.So wrapped and handed over to santa!

Have a good one after the Livebid fun off to bed!

Having a son is a good excuse for going to Toy Soldier shows and getting him figures for Christmas. I've got 2 girls so i spend my time in Toys R Us looking for dolls. My eldest is nearly 4 and she wants a Baby Chou Chou that gets spotty, a toy iron, a toy ironing board and a car seat for her baby dolly. Oh and jewellery (from Claire's Accesories thank goodness) and clothes that must be pink.

I can't find that spotty Baby Chou Chou anywhere! She might have to settle for a Yummy Baby Chou Chou instead that eats biscuits.
 
One thing I'd like to see is who you are bidding against. Not knowing that makes it all too anonymous.

i have registered and re registered.every time i com to live bid i simply get the picture of live bid and directions for bidding.i never see any items.wht am i not doind?

Once you put your password, etc. in and it's accepted, you click on Live Bid on the lower left and then you'll see a box that says Enter Live Bid. Click that and you're in.
 
This week there's more Arnhem, Waffen SS gloss, some Waffen SS Winter sets and (presumably to boost American interest) one of Roosevelt's Rough Riders.
 
h.hammer your doing it all right but the items disapear after sales have completed. i have spoken to Mike and Tony and they are going to ensure that there are messages up in the future. This being the first items they have run they have a fair few ideas to add to make it work well. I have mailed them most of the ideas on here as Brad for one is an e-bay expert!!!

Cannon foder has spotted the new items intersesting mix!!? I would love to sees this stash that Mike has!!!! what goodies he must have. No birds i beleive though brad.
