We are just about, to get the keys for the unit next door which is bigger than the current warehouse we are in. We have already designed the showroom/shop which will be 7m20x 4m60 and an annex to this that will be 4mx 6m. Myself and Bob are talking about the interior design of the showroom. We have bounced around ideas such as inside a Nissan hut, inside an airraid shelter, a WWII command Bunker, or a museum of artifacts above each section. Ie Roman items above the Roman Dios etc

We have the work men teed and we hope to have it open in the middle of October

the entrance to K&C UK there will be some select peices on display in our vestible area with glass cabinates.

Above the showrrom shop will be a lounge with soft seating and coffee etc. This will be a place that you can realx and read soldier magazines etc and talk soldiers. There will be some very OLD things on the wall from K&C we have some flats that are mounted in a frame that were made by Andy years ago. We also have a one off Gun and sabre made by K&C in the late 90's

We have a lot of ideas and we have to squeeze them into the new area that we have. The whole experiance will be a K&C dream for collectors.

Louis Once your out and about again bring the whole family as we have a natural child carer in the form of my daughter Faye. She has this magic touch of stopping children from crying. Maybe its her name (Faye french for Fairy) maybe she has magical powers!!

How would you like to see the place set out?

Seriously though,a comfy lounge is a good idea.You could have some of those large posters up you had at the December do last year,if you could have different ranges depicted in the posters that would be good.Perhaps some warbirds strategically placed would be cool.Maybe some rare items in cabinets for us too oooh and aaah at.A water cooler,decent drop of carpet and you've got it nailed.Have you thought of anymore K&C UK Apparel at all,would be nice to be able to pick up a polo or sweatshirt whilst visiting.

Seems like you're covering the bases to me mate.

From a display point of view, I think anything you've got in terms of militaria and / or old and long retired K&C pieces would hit the mark.

I'll be sliding your way at the end of August. I managed to convince my wife that we needed a holiday in Northumbria. Destination chosen purely so that it's within a stone's throw of Durham. Which I've always wanted to visit. Purely for it's historic value you understand. Hopefully catch up with you then.

You've been to K&C Utopia. Do you want me to send you a floorplan from the museum? Just kidding. I think the sort of diorama displays you bring to the shows, as a permanent fixture in a showroom where there is comfortable seating and refreshments sounds like K&C Utopia to me!

Just got the keys today to go and measure up the new warehouse.

I will be making large 3ft wide by 6ft deep dios for each of the ranges that K&C do.

We are shopping at the wolrds largest Militare show Miltary Odyssey in two weeks time. Mike wants to get a Russian machine gun and i want a Thompson.

We will be getting flags from all of the relevant ranges and displaying them as well so we are going for the Museum artifact kind of look.

Louis your place is the best and of course we will copy!!! copy is the highest form of flattery (alledgerly)! It was awesome to see and has been in the back of my head ever since.

If you take Louis's place, HK office, HK Shop and K&C UK London show set up and combine them all together then this is the look we are after in the new K&C UK display area. total area will be 57sqm.

The lounge upstairs will be just to sit around and talk and look at soldiers. We have ordered a new coffee machine and the sofas will be ordered once the nock down work starts.

Looking to have it all done by the end of October.

Simon we are out of the office 23rd to 27th due to Miltary Odyssey so i hope your around before or after this???? eekk
