Just wanted to say a big thank you to Mike, Tony and Dave at King & Country UK for the great visit I and my good lady had at their showroom last Wednesday. The guys are fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome, we were given a personal tour of the existing exhibits and the works in progress.

If you have never been to the showroom and are in the area you should put a visit to the top of your to do list, you won’t be disappointed :D.

Thanks again guys.

Regards

Brian

PS, Tony, you were right about the food in Vennels, it was excellent and your directions were spot on.

I agree brian a visit to the showroom is a must if youre in the area, its like an aladins cave of King and Country, all the displays are great and the courtesy and patience shown by all at the showroom is first class. The only downside is i never seem to take enough money lol.

Hi,

is there for the showroom normal opening times or did I need an appointment?

Still a small question to the forum members from the UK. Are there in area from K&C UK old castles wich one can visit? Differently asked … …. which castles in UK are worth a visit?

Excuse my horrible english. It´s a mix between my school-english and an Internet translater…… :(

Best wishes
Kai

A visit to York is a must. A large medieval city, lots to see and do. Great Viking museum. Probably one of my favourite cities in the UK.

durham cathedral is pretty impressive as well. alnwick castlke was used in some of the harry potter films

Durham Cathedral is awesome as well as the York Minster. Might want to look into checking out Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island(Lindisfarne) near
Berwick Upon Tweed.

Keep it silly

Yup Durham Cathedral is well worth a visit, fascinating place. In terms of castles, the only one I would add to Rob's list is Stirling Castle if your in the area.

I've only been to Conway Castle and that was about 20 years ago, oh and I've been to Newcastle (St James Park for a footie match about 10 years ago). :D
Only two castles I've been to, Hatfield House and Knebworth House are close to me and are pretty cool places to visit!

Hi Kai

You have been given a good list of the castles around us. There is another great castle that a lot of people miss when they come to the NE of England and that is RABY CASTLE...........its huge and is famous for its herds of deer.

We are open Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm but we are also open at weekends on request (ie for special visits) the only time we are not around is if we have a show on.

You can e-mail us at sales@kingandcountry.co.uk or call us +44 1388 818882

would be great to see you.

Tony
