Does anyone know how to sign up for the K&C event at this year's West Coaster? I saw the Sierra thread below, but it seems like that was for the 2009 show.

Any other events that one can sign up for?

Thanks,

Mark

King & Country event @ The West Coaster toy soldier show.

Sierra Toy Soldier Company has hosted a King & Country event for the past five years. We typically do this twice a year, one at the West Coaster and Chicago. The West Coaster event which we sponsor has grown and includes appetizers, a talk by King & Country co-founder and creative director Andy Neilson, and a special figure exclusive to the event. The event starts at 6.30pm on Saturday 27th.

Collectors will need to reserve their place in advance by purchasing an admission ticket so that we can plan for the proper number of people, and no one is left out. Please note space is limited so please reserve early. This year the admission price is $15.00, payable in advance. Every Collector who attends will also receive back a coupon worth $15.00, redeemable either at the show or afterwards towards any purchase from us.

To order just contact us at sales@sierratoysoldier.com - subject ticket.

Tally Ho,
Marc

Thanks, Marc! This will only be 2nd time attending, and really last year I just stopped by for an hour. I'm looking forward to actually meeting collectors/Treefroggers this year.

Cheers...here you go mate...

*Take Advil/Aleve or similar in advance

*Bring a camera & extra batteries

*Bring lots of money preferably cash

*Warn your wife/spouse/special friend that you will be emotionally/physically unavailable for 48 hours. Buy them a gift (in advance) and or send them shopping (extremely important!!!)

*Prepare to spend 14/24 hours both Friday & Saturday

*Sign up for the Saturday K&C event through Sierra Toy Soldiers

*Watch for the Figarti announcement on this Forum regarding their event which will be Friday or Saturday

*Look for Battle worn Forum Troops wearing Treefog Insignia Pins and in the process meet new friends too. This is the most important part!

*Bring a want list but do not make your purchases your main goal. You will find things when & where you least expect it

*Get a floor map showing the location of most of the vendors (typically 5th & 6th floor and available there or at the front desk (bring pen for notes)

*Manufacture Fly-Bys. Make certain to check out the K&C, Figarti, Build-A-Rama, H&A, Britains, Frontline etc. rooms first and visit with their respective High Command

*Dealer Fly Bys next. Commence strafing runs on Sierra Toy Soldier, Hobby Bunker, Old Toy Soldier Home, Pam of Brunton's Barracks, etc. Great opportunity to pick up new releases and insure a safe trip home to your collection

*Commence room to room precision buying runs. If you see something you want buy it or "The Vulture" will claim victory

*Make sure you drink water & eat in order to enhance the experience

*Get some rest and recover for another day in the trenches

*If you see a shadow you are not hallucinating (although possible at this point)-it is the vulture so complete your purchase ASAP

*Make reservations for next year

Thanks for the info...I just love the shadow example! I sent Sierratoysoldier an email that was titled "tickets" as it said to do in previous posts...though I never got a reply back? was there something other I needed to do to attend? Also what day is the actual show...Saturday...or Sunday?

Just give Sierra a call to confirm. They always send out a receipt so you should have gotten that. The actual show is on Sunday. There are vendors that show up for the show day only but most of them have camped out in the hotel the days prior so you more than likely will not miss out on too much.

We do not have any outstanding requests for a ticket to the Sierra / K&C Event. If you have not received a response, please email us during the week at sales@sierratoysoldier.com or give us a ring, a limited amount of space is still available.

Best regards

Mike
