I seem to remember around last Christmas some Aussie gentlemen got a couple of Sunderland seaplanes delivered. Well not to be outdone, as I looked with envious eyes, I also got one for across the ditch in Kiwiland.

It's a truly marvelous thing.

Hi Gary,
The Sunderland is the largest warbird to date and is truly marvellous. It’s size is a challenge for diorama makers but we are working on it. But gentlemen on this side of the ditch? :) Nuts and Mabel will be seen together in an all Aussie dio in a museum display. Two together is just awesome!
Regards, Bob

Hi Bob,

I suspect this Kiwi will just have to settle for having one! Good luck with the display and I am sure it will be a great success. Would love to hop across the ditch and see it.

Hi Gary,
Collaboration and a museum, or a really big house are probably the only practical ways to accommodate more than one of these big birds. We are fortunate here to have collaborative participants and a shared desire to expose our work in public - yep; egotists and Show-offs - that’s us. We’d be delighted to have you over for a visit when we pull this off. Perhaps you could bring one of your Axis warbirds for a photo appearance at that occasion and get some cross ditch collaboration happening :)
