I had a wonderful afternoon today - I went to Keith Rocco's Home & Studio - Woodstock, VA - and spent the afternoon talking with him and his lovely wife "Libby" about his art.

Mrs. Phillips also made the trip and the Rocco's were delightful :D

Keith's home is part Museum - Louis you have to see this place  - all sorts of Rare and Original Napoleonic and Civil War Artifacts !!

Also had a chance to see some of his upcomming releases and preview parts of his new book on the Napoleonic Old Guard

Really a wonderful day. :D

My understanding this is a different publisher and will have a wider market for availability. So, AMAZON should have it.

All of the painting are really cool

Looks like an excellent day out Ron. You met him at a show earlier this year didn't you? Do you own some of his artwork?

I would love to visit his place some day. It sounds amazing.

Ron,
Sounds like an awesome day, Keith is a great, great guy, very down to earth considering how incredibly talented the man is.

New book on the Old Guard? I must have missed that one, any idea as to when it will be available. I'd prefer to buy directly from him so that he gets the full retail hit on the book.......

Sounds like an awesome trip Ron, plus you also got to hang out with Tim Tyler, one of my favorite people. By the way, I love your Napoleonic Highlander painting. If you don't mind me asking, how much does something like that run?

Great painting Ron! I love Keiths work. I look forward to seeing him do work on the napoleonic period. Did you get a good sneak peek at the new paintings for the new book?

Hi Louis,

The giclee canvas prints of The 71st Highland Light Infantry go for $190 on his website. I have a few of his prints and have to say he has the best looking Napoleonics out there. He also does ACW and some other prints. Check out his website at:

www.keithrocco.com

He sells on line so you can get his prints and books that way.

All the best

Dave

It was a great deal - like Dave said the Giclee goes for $190.00 - but, framed was only $240.00 !

Keith had wonderful paintings throughout his house and studio.

I did get to see at least one paint that he was working on for his new book - it was a scene of New Guard Soldiers gathering together - really amazing the detail that he puts in each painting.

This upcomming book will be very special.

Ron

Ron,

Can you PM Mr. Rocco's contact information. At $240 for this painting framed in that beautiful frame, it will be hanging in the museum ASAP!:D:cool:

Thanks Ron,

I already checked the site, and I deciding between a Crimean 11th Hussar or your Napoleonic Light Infantry. Decisions . . .:D

Hi Louis,

Get them both why worry about decisions like that;)

All the best

Dave
