Thought I'd feature Conte's Metals in the Zulu Range which we know is limited to Keith Rocco's Rorke's Drift and his Hero's of The Drift. Looking forward to the availability of both was disapointed with the overall results. It seems to me that the heads on some of the figures where not quite to scale and the rifles where poorly done with the bayonets placed on the the wrong side of the rifles. I was expecting the figures to be of the same quality and stature as the Lionhead Signifer, The Revolutionary British Office, The Freedom Fighter as well as The Prirate vs The Spainiard I received when joining The Collectors Club which I was very pleased with. It also seems to me that certain figures where placed incorrectly. Check the arrangement of the figures in photo 5 strikes me as place wrong. I was pleased with the way their were posed for action as well as the quality of the Zulus and the base although it seems not quite finished like an addition was to be added. The figures do photograph quite well from various angles......The Lt.

Here are a few photos showing them in different locations.......The Lt.

Since January 22 is coming up fast I am hoping to find the time and have my table ready for a wargame of Rorkes drift.
The Rocco set looks nice but bayonets on the WRONG side ? OOOOH NOOOOO!
Oh well, I really dont need to dump any more $ into metal for that collection anyway!

I thought I would take four of Conte's figures from Keith Rocco's Drift and depict them during the Battle of Isandlwana as their look hopelessly on as the Zulus rush in for the kill......The Lt.

The photos I talked about in post one are no longer appearing in post 2 they were lost when the forum was change to it's new format. I'll see if I have them on file....The Lt.
