I watched some of the movie Kelly's Heroes today while on the Eliptical . My favorite scene is the Sherman rolling along to the music with Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Don Rickles as the "Tank Riders" with Donald Sutherland driving his Sherman with the music speakers. I cannot remember how many times I have watched this scene, but every time is a classic moment. What is your favorite part of this movie?

You have to ask yourself why no one has ever sculpted a Don Rickles GI piece...would that not be a "must have" item?!

I have too many to mention; perhaps it is the hippy in me, sorry Rob.;):D Any scene with Donald Sutherland was fantastic from the Tiger / hero / busted trip exchange with Clint to the bridge crew recruiting call from behind the lines. The Sherman attack from the railroad tunnel was pretty memorable as well.

I watched it too; have watched this move more times than I can count, never get sick of it.

Love the scene where they link up with oddball in the rain; "That nut brought have the army with him".........."split how many ways stupid?"..........or the scene where Big Joe finally agrees to go along with the plan; "The only time you come out of the ground is when you smell a profit"....."Ok, show me what you got"..........

I have it DVD throw it on every now and then....."eating some cheese drinking some wine catching some rays".
Woof Woof thats my other dog impersonation.

Oddball: Hi, man.
Big Joe: What are you doing?
Oddball: I'm drinking wine and eating cheese, and catching some rays, you know.
Big Joe: What's happening?
Oddball: Well, the tank's broke and they're trying to fix it.
Big Joe: Well, then, why the hell aren't you up there helping them?
Oddball: [chuckles] I only ride 'em, I don't know what makes 'em work.
Big Joe: Christ!
Oddball: Definitely an antisocial type. Woof, woof, woof! That's my other dog imitation.

Crapgame - "Make him a deal deal." The high noon showdown with the Tiger is classic.

As good as the other actors were in this movie, Rickles stole just about every scene he was in.........

"Kinda makes you home sick, don't it"
"Hey Harry, go get yourself a haircut"
"We haven't reported him dead yet, I've been collecting his whiskey"
"It's not 1.6 million; it's 16 MILLION BUCKS!"
"Hey Oddball, this is your chance to be a hero and you're ckickening out"

Rickles was great...........

I remember a short lived TV show with Rickles called "CPO Sharkey", a sort of Gomer Pyle type show, centered around Rickles' CPO character. Didn't last long but I thought it was funny. Always have liked Rickles and his equal opportunity insults.:D -- Al

Unfortunatly along with everything else on AMC ,its cut,,butchered, censored and brutilized by commercials. But for comedy relief watch their version of pulp fiction or casino,,,shoot,,dang,,freakin,,
