Just a ? I have been wondering for a long time since collecting this line. Are the Uniforms shown correct in design and color? Seems to be a lot of figures with the olive Drab color Tunic which I thought faded in the sun to a sand color. They don't seem to have that faded look. Sorry if this sounds like I don't know what I am talking about. I'm not to much of a expert in the African Theater.

I totally agree with you. I repainted the green jakets in kaki.

Jagdpanther,

The German Africa Korps wore both the Olive Drab and Tan uniforms. Also keep in mind the OD faded in the sun over time to appear nearly tan.
They also mixed OD and Tan tunics / pants based upon what was available at the time.

Rommel's Afrika Korps uniform. Note that the color, originally olive, is faded to greenish khaki.

The biggest error with the K&C DAK uniforms IMO is the white belts and straps. Brown, OD or Black is correct; not white!

The mixed colors of DAK uniforms was caused by shortages and losses of supplies at sea. One shipment would consist of tropical reed green uniforms another would be desert tan. Substitution of Italian Sand uniforms is another possibility due to shortages. Better the wrong color pants than no pants at all!

And pants, shorts, shirts, shoes ( also food, gasoline, cigarettes etc.) came from the rich british depots taken....:p

So the Majority of the K&C Figures are wearing OD Tunics and Tan/Sand color pants? To me the biggest thing would be the OD Tunic. Seems like to much green on some of the figures. Like they just received there uniforms and haven't seen any wear and tear.
