Hi guys. I recently bought the RA11 set of King and Country on ebay. It arrived today but unfortunately it appears the figurines became dislodged in the box and obviously were banging off each other in the box while in the post. Now I have figurines with paint chips everywhere and the top of the wheeled gun was broken off {sm2} I reckon I can do a paint job on them myself. I was just wondering if anyone else who has this set can help me? What I'm looking to find out are the colours I will need (humbrol enamel paints). I'll need a green colour but there are many of them listed on their site. I think the packs on the backs are an ivory colour. Hope you guys might be able to help me.

If there is that much damage, send it back and get a refund. That sounds like too much damage to be touched up. And the set isn't so rare you can't find another for sale.

Alternatively, if you want to keep them and don't want to touch them up yourself, you could contact Mitch (his forum name). He's over in England (near Newcastle I think). He's an excellent painter and probably could fix them easily.

Thanks for reply Terry. Yeah I think that might be the best line of action. I was really disappointed when I opened the box because I had been looking for that particular set for a while!

Hi Brad. That sounds like an idea as I haven't really painted that much myself before....Only some airfix when I was younger

I agree with Brad...Mitch is top notch ! If you want to keep the set just PM him & ask if he will do it for you...

Don't forget to consider import costs England may charge if you ship it there.

Hope it works out for you whatever you decide to do.

I agree, that's a concern. You should contact the seller; he should pay for the repairs.

I would like to help if I could, I would not even charge a penny for the paint job but Import taxes , VAT and Custom taxes make it impossible. Once the job done and depending on the weight of the parcel shipping costs back to the US may be as high as 30-60 € for a registered and insured parcel.

I suggest you not to use Humbrol Colors...Vallejo are more professional and in some cases they match perfectly the chips to retouch.I really believe they are the one used in the manifacture.
