Hello All,
I am looking for assistance. Up front I am NOT a modeler and have zero experience. So, in the attached pics you can see the bent barrel. It was bent during shipping. I attempted to put pressure to it to move it back into position. But I am afraid I may break it. Any tricks of the trade to bend it back?

Here's what I do with mine:
1. Heat up the barrel with a hair dryer (warm setting) for about 5 seconds. This softens the metal
2. Get 2 identical wooden stick (size of a popsicle stick).
3. Positon the sticks on the bent barrel and slowly squeeze the wooden stick together.
4. When you reach the desire effect, soak barrel in cold water.

Hope this helps

Welcome to the forum! I applaud you for taking the plunge and trying to fix it yourself. You might find you enjoy the modeling side of the hobby.

Prost!

Thank you Noli-Poli. I will give it a try. Cheers!

You are welcome Taldozer.

Additionally, for gun barrels and bayonets, use your fingers( thumb and index) to warm the metal and after a few seconds slowly squeeze your fingers and slowly straighten the barrel. Soak in cold water , dry up and coat slightly with super glue
