Highly recommended alarm system, proven over time at the Louvre in Paris. A great big baby....but he could scare the pants off Hulk Hogan!

It may be very big, but its a very cute alarm system! I have a 14 month old Finish Spitz (about a 35 pound dog that looks exactly like a fox). My alarm system is very loud (they are bred to bark as much as 165 times per minute while hunting) but I have trained mine not to go off inside.

I liked the shots of your living room. If you are married, you must have a very understanding wife like mine.

I know my limits and I've confined my collection to our "study," which is kind of a library and where I also keep my cd collection.

My wife doesn't mind as long as she doesn't have to dust anything.

Mine too, that's why I dust my collection myself (that and the fear of breakage should anyone else touch it).

That is a pretty looking alarm system Njja. Just remember some of those alarms go faulty and start chewing on those collectibles. A very compatible feature is the curio. It has definitely saved me in the past (and discouraged my kids).

Here's a dumb question but as a relative rookie I'm guess I'm entitled to a few: what do you use to dust. Just a cloth, do you wet it, etc.

Borrow (read "steal") one of your wife's makeup brushes to dust the figures themselves. If you have a diorama, or don't want to move a bunch of stuff, a hairdryer sat on cool will blow loose dust from between the figures. Do this dry, no furniture polish or water. And above all, be extremely carefull. Knocking over, chipping or breaking K&C products will cause an instant migraine. Believe me. Over the past ten+ years I have learned this the hard way.

I use natrual bristle brushes Boars hair (good paint brushes). They won't damage delicate items (masts on waterline ships, gun barrels) a couple of different sizes and your in business.
