King & Country buildings-more, less? What do you want to see? (1 Viewer)

WOW some of you guys must have whole building devoted to toy soldiers.....I wouldn't have the room for even one 3d building, I think the way Andy did the farmhouse (flat building) was great!!!!!! If Andy was smart he would continue with this because #1 he has to please everyone not just guys who have a 12' x 12' display #2 the guys that don't have the room won't buy it #3 the building or back drops shouldn't over whelm the figures you are displaying. I think if he does full 3d buidings he would only be catering to the guys who have the whole basement to display....most of us don't. My 2 cents anyway....

Cheers

Now thats a thought.........:) You guys are right there is a real lack of any buildings for K&C. The idea with a size in between is a very good one.

 No man ... make both fully dimensional and facade versions of the same building. I am not a toy manufacturer and I do not claim to understand anything about their cost-benefit analysis per unit of production, but if a company were to use the same molds (somehow) and produce the front of a building and then use additional sections of these same molds to produce a fully dimensional version, I would hope the process would be cost effective enough to be able to make a reasonable profit on both versions.:) Michael

Noli,

Where in Jersey are you. I live near Morristown.

Lived in Bridgewater, NJ near RVCC (Somerset County). Moved to Phoenix metro on April 2005 after taking an early (very early) retirement from AT&T.

Due to lack of space, I use European scenes from old calendars as background and combo with Build-A-Rama, JG Miniatures accessories or Conte play sets (French farm, pill-boxes etc.). The earlier K&C buildings (Hotel Balzac, Gare Central, Pharmacie, etc.) tend to be more artsy so I use paintings (instead of photos) of European country sides to get that artsy look.

I have no pictures to share since I just moved to AZ fromNJ and all my stuff are still in boxes.

Over-all, the Conte, JG and build-a-rama are perfect together.

Aren't they a little small for K&C?

Hi Guys

I have posted some pics of KK in front of JG miniatures buildings in the treefrog photos album - they are a little on the small side but really don't look out of place to my eye.

see - Kevin elliott 71,72,74,75 Thanks Pete / Shannon.

See what you think. They do fit into my only cabinet.

Here's a simple request, in so many photo's from WWII you see....Telephone poles! would love to have some for scenic effect. I would also like to see a weapons pack, all the weapons both allied and axis, mg's, rifles, automatic weapons, ammo boxes, grenades all done in the excellent K&C quality. To me it's the minute details that make the scene or diorama come to life.

They are a-okay. Most JGs I have are sand bags, trenches, and sally ports. European farm, Ruined church, pill boxes are conte play sets ...check-out George Guererro's website. He has dioramas showing these sets with K&C figures. http://www.mmtoysoldiers.com/
