The King&Country Tiger I tanks in my collection are as follows:

WS043 Wittman Tiger / WS070(SL) Winter Tiger / AK039 Tunisian Tiger

WS151 Kursk Tiger / New Snow Tiger

The interesting point among these 5 examples is the Wittman Tiger and the Winter Tiger are very much noticeably smaller in size. From front to rear the hulls are shorter and the road wheels are smaller in diameter. All of the newer Tiger releases are larger starting with the Tunisian Tiger. Does anyone have some insight on the reason for the size difference between early and later examples ???? {sm2}

I know you might be relatively new to the forum, but this has been brought up many times in the past. The Wittman and Winter Tiger are closer to 1/32 scale than 1/30 as are many of K&C's earlier tanks. The Tunisian Tiger was the first Tiger to be more of a true 1/30 scale. Why, I don't know for sure.

Yes , I have only been on the forum since Feb. 2011 !!! I surely missed this topic in the past. I guess the answer that I was looking for was why start out in a smaller scale and later get it back to 1/30 scale ???? Thanks for the info WWII Buff !!!!

No Problem PanzerAce1944. You might could search for some of the old threads to see the discussion on the K&C underscale AFV issues from years past? They might have made the change to try and make a more true 1/30 scale for the simple reason that collectors complained about it? I don't know. Someone else might chime in here with some details.
