Does anyone know the number of this King Tiger being hit with bazooka rounds from the 82nd Airborne Division at La Gleize during the Battle of the Bulge?
I don't know, perhaps nobody had cognac to exchange for it ....
The celebrity in the region is the Tiger N°213 ( bought for a bottle of cognac ), read why http://www.december44.com/en/tiger-213.htm

It is most likely Hq tank #104 of 1./s.SS-Pz.Abt.501. It was under command of Oscha. Sepp Franzl. It reached La Gleize on Dec. 19 and was engaged at Cheneux on Dec. 21. Returned to La Gleize after that action and broke down there on Dec. 22. It was abandoned on Dec.23. It apparently did not carry it's #104 designation on the turret, just the German cross insignia. -- Al
