If any of you have a King Tiger with a drooping 88mm, here's how I solved the problem:

1. I got a black Bic pen cap and cut off about 1/16" of the pocket clip.
2. I removed the King Tiger turret and inserted the 1/16" pocket clip with Elmer's Glue under the mantlet.
3. This prevents the drooping and allows the 88mm to be elevated at a medium angle.

PS...I'm disappointed the Stug's Schurzen mounting arms are unpainted, particularly considering these are relatively expensive limited edition models. In the PR photos, they are painted, so the production models should also be painted. I have a $40 FOV 1/32 Panzer Mk. IV and the Schurzen mounting arms are painted.

Why not send it back to the dealer? If its broken they should fix it. Larry.

I have two and both are fine. Barrels stay where I want them to, slightly elevated. -- Al

WARLORD 1:

My King Tiger's 88mm will stay up in the maximum elevated position with no problem. However, if I position the barrel at a moderate elevation and touch the tank, the barrel tends to droop down all the way. I don't think it's broken, just loose. By inserting the pen clip under the mantlet, the 88mm stays fixed at the medium elevation I want without having to send it back.
I've seen a few photos of other CS King Tigers, and the 88mm were drooped, too.
