All the guns with the troop saw action in WW1 and some as improvised AA guns in WW2. I would have liked to trace the history of each gun but the task was too convoluted to be attempted.
Unlike it's big brother, the 18 pdr, the 13 pdr didn't progress to different marks. There was only a slight modification which can be seen in the end of the recuperator, the original being domed, the modification being flat.
On parade there is a pipeclayed drag rope attached to the front shield, a pipeclayed pad around the trail and a polished leather sleeve on the traversing lever.
Some of the guns have circular seats, some have tractor style seats and some have a mixture of the two.
