Can you buy the special Kings X figures, ie cavalry, Rough Riders, direct from them or is there another procedure to purchase them?
Gary

Looks like the Roughriders you can buy direct but the cavalry (John Wayne) you have to buy a certain amount of product.

Gary Kings X keeps a running total of your purchases and when you hit $480
you can choose a figure. Here is a shot of the first two, they are just terrific!

The second two will be out soon, a 7th Cav Colonel (the Henry Fonda Character?) and a Texas Ranger with a scattergun! I'm sure they are going to be just as nice.

Second shot shows the new Teddy Roosevelt figure!

KingsX is King & Countrys retail outlet in Texas. You can visit them at

206 Alamo Plaza, San Antonio, TX 78205. Or visit their web site at:

https://www.kingsx.com/

The folks there are very nice and especially helpful.:)

I hate to be the naysayer here, but I sure won't qualify. I went to King's X last March. I found the staff cool and not too interested in the visiting customer, and the Texas sales tax is exhorbitant. As customer experiences go, I put them last on the list of K&C outlets I have been privileged to visit. I'll spend my available hobby dollars with vendors who actually care.

Gees Gary:

Try California where the three largest King and Country dealers reside in cities with sales tax rates of 9.25% which is considerably higher than Texas and significantly higher than the rest of the country.

Fortunately, the dealers here care greatly about their collectors.

Well to bad you had a bad experience, I have never been to the shop myself

(never been to Texas). I have however done business with them over the

phone many times. I have found them to be most patient, helpful and

cooperative. The items ship promptly, are well packed and they are more then

willing to help you with any special circumstance you might have. Out of

state purchases do not have to deal with local taxes either!:D

Same for me ..always an excellent service the three times i bought from them! For the special figures they said to me that being outside U.S. i can buy them for 35 $ , but i presume i must mail them because on the site there's no option (i'm referring to the U.S.Cavalry soldiers).

I have been to King X several times. I do not always buy but I love to look at their displays. Everytime I have been there has been very nice. The lady is most helpful. The taxes are high, but the figures are great.

Njja,
Nice pictures. However there is a figure hiding behind Roosevelt with his foot resting on something. Who is he ? Not seen him before.

Brett

Brett,

I think that's Figarti's version of Rommel, given out at the West Coaster.

Hi Brett yes that is Figarti's Rommel figure from the last west coast show. He is just standing back there waiting to have his photo taken!:)
