A few years ago I found some great 1/32 scale tin figures online and ordered a couple of knights. The one pictured below is modeled on an actual individual.

Yesterday I decided to paint this fellow, but I can't recall his name and am unable to find a picture of what his outfit would have looked like in color. I went back online to see if I could find another listing, but the company apparently no longer offers this figure. Can anyone tell me who this is?

A puzzle! Call out the Treefrog Irregulars!

Well, the rampant lion on his tabard is the first clue, and the lion on his helm is another. But that only lets me make somewhat educated guesses, such as a Scottish lord (or king?), or a lord of Brabant, just off the top of my head. I'm trying to remember others who had the lion as their device.

The casting is from a Russian or Ukrainian source, isn't it? It looks like many that I see on eBay these days.

Prost!

Just happened to go onto eBay and do a search and found it - Louis de Nevers, count of Flanders.

It's Ukrainian, and wonderfully cast. I just finished up a Saxon from the same company - will be posting it soon.

...But as usual with those Russian/Ukrainian companies this is piracy...

Yep, I proceed from that assumption, certainly for any of the figures I see on eBay. A lot of Pegasos and Andreas copied there. Of course, in the Andrea, it can be seen as sauce for the gander, since Andrea engages in a form of piracy with some of its subjects-figures from movies, that are easily recognizable but are named with generic names, to avoid trademark or copyright disputes.

Prost!
