Today is the last day of 2014. Time to think about the past year's happenings. In the world of toy soldiers we lost the presence of Kogu/Konrad on this forum. Konrad decided to retire from the hobby in November. I fully appreciate and understand his motivations but it is a real loss for all of us who love sharing the excitement of our fellow members when they add the latest treasure to their collections. Konrad is an example of the ultimate excitement and passion for the items he was collecting. His enthusiasm was contagious. Every time Konrad added some new treasure and posted it on the forum was like Christmas morning when all of us believed in Santa Claus and opened those colorfully wrapped presents under the tree that sometimes contained a bright and shiny set of new toy soldiers. I was reminded of Konrad and this youthful excitement when the other day, I ran across, among my files, this photo that Konrad posted in 2010 showing one of his latest acquisitions. The photo with the figures marching across the face of a book on a related topic brought back all those memories of my own youth and the pleasure we all received from Konrad's posting of his photos.

Konrad we hope all is well in your world and wish you all the best for 2015:smile2:

Randy
