Found out about this movie in a trivia book - at one point it boasted the largest cast. It was a German propaganda film made in 1943 that focused on the siege of a town during the Napoleonic War. In order to get the amount of extras needed, large numbers of German soldiers were brought away from fighting on the front. It has been released on DVD - has anyone seen it?
