Hi folks,
Just following through on an idea I've been playing with for a while now and have yet to implement. A thread on the Hobby Bunker forum got me thinking about the lack of figures in plastic for the Korean War and how I thought that was very unfortunate. I have always been interested in that conflict. I know that many plastic GIs would work for US/UN forces-Marx GIs and Marines, Airfix US troops, BMC Marines, Airfix multi-pose US sets, Conte and TSSD US troops (sometimes with some minor conversions). I think the raw materials for the Chinese or NK forces could be found with Marx Japanese and Russians, Airfix Japanese, Russians or MPC Japanese or Russians but I'm wondering if anyone has ever made the actual attempt and has any pics showing the fruits of your labors. If so, please share your work. I'm needing inspiration. If only the Imex line would be upscaled to 54mm but I don't think they have any plans to do their Korean War 1/72 in anything other than the small scale. Tragic really. Thanks for listening.
Mike
