I wish (not demand) a new version WS037 Krupps truck. I've been reading the Jack Tanner adventures by James Holland and in both novels this little truck plays a part. The next book is set in Crete I wonder if it will appear again?

Cheers

Do you have the old one?....I think it can now, these days, be picked up for much less than before.....possibly $200-225...unfortunately, I paid more than that; but that said it is one of my favorite older K/C pieces since it fits in well with current K/C products styles.

Glyn,

Read both books a month or so ago. Very enjoyable, hopefully we'll see more of the same.

Guys, did you notice any similarities in the depiction of foreign characters with those from the old Commando/Battle/War comics;)

Is that the Protze? I would love that one too. iirc, it was the standard mount for panzergrenadiers before they moved up to halftracks, and total conversion of all the battalions didn't happen until midwar (late '43?)

I just ordered the First Jack Tanner adventure plus an RAF novel by James Holland called "Silver Wings" . . . I hope you guys have decent taste in WWII novels!:p

They arn't heavy reading in any way mate, they are very much straight from those old War comics and aimed I'd say straight at the generation who grew up reading them.Full of fanatical Nazi's,square Jawed or dodgy Brits and questionable Frenchmen, rip roaring entertainment:)

As soon as I've finished this second Jack Tanner I've got James Hollands new book on the Battle of Britain to read, looks good.

Louis,

You have both Rob and I recommending them. You'll have to draw your own conclusions as to whether that collectively amounts to 'decent taste' :p:eek:

I think it said on the cover 'Sharpe for the 20th century' or similar, and I'd say that's not far off.

I'm sure I'll enjoy them then!:)
