Here's another temptress. She was the most famous courtesan of her time. I decided to give this piece its own thread as I am converting the piece.

Due to moulding considerations, the dress is a rhomboid shape to conform to the base. This is most pronounced in the front. I decided to bulk out the dress at the front with putty.

So far, I have reached this stage, given it a coat of paint and will finalise the details later.

I started to add more putty to the dress and also added groundwork to the base.

Following more detailed work on the dress, I decided to transfer the figure to a better looking base. I carefully cut the figure off from the base with a hacksaw.

After more sculpting, I painted the dress in dark green/blue. There are few pics of Esther Lachmann on the web and only 1 complete photo of her in a dark dress resembling this one. The textual description of her appearance are not necessarily complimentary and I probably will paint her accordingly...

It then occurred to me to build up more of that front portion. So here we go again... In the future, when they decide to do archaeological forensics of my figures, they will note the various layers of paint, then putty, then paint, then putty....

I scored a piece of card to create a marble flooring base. The figure was now repainted, this time with some details.

I painted the floor to simulate marble slabs and attached the figure to it. Pics taken late at night so the quality sucks.

This piece is now cracking along. I've added a balustrade to the back and repositioned the figure.

I fooled around with this lady over the weekend, adding groundwork and polishing the marble flooring and balustrade. The foliage was selected to blend with the dress.

I finally got a batch of brass labels made for some of my pieces and have taken final shots against a black background.
