We had a small get together this evening of local Australian collectors, and it was a great pleasure to have join with us tonight a lovely lady collector, who uses the T/F name ''SEEWHY'.
I had a great evening meeting people, who until tonight, I had only interacted with on this forum. I have been asked to post some pictures of SEEWHY's truely fantasic collection.
Wayne.

Wayne,
Thanks for posting.

A few points to back up your good pics.

As you might guess Seewhy's main area of interest is Australian and Zulu War.

The display cabinets with Lighthorse and WWII North Africa were made by Seewhy.

The Rorkes Drift display in the glass top coffee table is not a brand of figures but something that was made by a friend of Seewhy's. Since then she has also been collecting Britians Zulus.

My favourite rooms in the dolls house displays are the ones with the military pictures in the background.

Wayne, can you remember the original signatures on that old print ? The famous Aussie artist Will Dyson's and first Aussie WWI VC winner Albert Jacka's signatures can be seen in your picture but I can not remember the other signatories.

Thanks again for posting.

Regards
Brett

Wow! A most impressive collection, displayed in a superb way. I am most impressed with all of it but the Jacka signature is special. Thanks for posting this wonderful collection. -- Al

She has a great collection thank you for sharing them with us Wayne. I particularly like the Zulu display :)

Yes, she has a very impressive collection, I was deliberate in not adding much info with the pics in the hope that would encourage her to post herself, which I very much hope she she will.

I would like to thank ''SEEWHY'' for the gift she gave me as token of friendship for taking her along to our gathering last night. I didn't at the time realise what it was she had given me the significance of which became apparent when I checked on it at Wikipedia, it was a ''HUMANITARIAN SERVICE MEDAL''. Why she believed I was worthy of such a medal I don't know, I can assure you all I do not. Be it a real or replica medal does not matter as I am greatly humbled by her very kind gesture, Seewhy I thank you.
Wayne.

Thanks for posting these pics Wayne they are even more impressive then when seen on your camera.....very impressive display from a very impressive collector....love that coffee table, i'm already thinking of how i can steal the idea for myself, with maybe a hinged top so the displays can be changed.{sm4}{sm4}{sm4}

Brett,
One of the signatories is Sir John Monash, I am ashamed to say I don't recall the other. :redface2:

Fascinating collection. I have enjoyed viewing the "Cheltenham" cabinet with the various rooms.

There is just about all you can expect in a stately home.....living room, dining room, study, kitchen, bathroom and more.

Thanks for sharing,

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Wayne,

I noticed she only posted once. Can you encourage her to post more. Someone with a collection and skills like that deserves to be heard :smile2:

That is some amazing work! I guess the "doll house" displays are around 100mm, or maybe 1/18th? What a great collection, and thanks for sharing the photos with us.

Prost!
