My 12 year old cousin came to my house yesterday and brought me this figure he found in his yard. It's discolored, leaning with bent parts but probably came from a nice collection at one time.It seems to come from the Yorktown Bicentennial.

You are a great detective. Now I'm wondering if this could have been mine as I had this set back in the nineties but I didn't connect the figure with it.That was when Franklin Mint put out some good stuff.I traded my Star Trek collection for these.

This has to be repaired and painted but if anybody wants it just let me know.Just pay for the shipping.

Mark,

If you can accept Paypal for the postage and you don't mind seeing La Fayette travelling down under I would like to have a go at restoring him.

I have restored quite a few figures over the years and the pewter ones tend to paint up well.

Let me know.

Scott

Edit- PM sent.

For Marco,

Lafayette arrived safely down under and was greeted by one of the locals. A case of poor posture and a very bent sword and scabbard!

Luckily Lafayette is pewter and after a five minute soak in hot water and some persuasion with electrical pliers his posture was rectified and his equipment roughly straightened out. Now for a paint strip.

Will keep you posted on Lafayettes progress!

Hi Scott,
His sword and scabbard was like that when I sent him but I don't remember his posture being so bad.Long journey for the little guy.Take care of him.
