Never a dull moment here in Atlanta!:) I am enjoying a visit from the daughter and grandaughter. Last night daughter and I decided to take in a movie, something we have been doing together since she was 2.:) After the movie it was rather late 1:30am and daughter wanted to bring home a bag of ice so we stopped at our 24hr Walmart.

We almost had the entire store to ourselves, aside from the stocking crew so we walked around and picked up a few things for the grandaughter to enjoy in the morning......a little tea set, and a Mr Potato head.

We left and walked out to the truck which we had left with the top down...... and when we attempted to get in we discovered a baby lamb in the passenger seat.

What next? Someone had actually placed a baby lamb in the truck! I opened the door initally to coax it out but quickly discovered it wasn't going anywhere. It appeared to be quite young and scared considering its present location.....though quite comfortable.:)

So we called 911 and asked to be connected to the non-emergency number. The local police Woodstock Ga asked what the problem was.....imagine trying to explain you had a lamb in your truck! Two......yes two cruisers raced up and came to the rescue..........what an evening! One officer picked up the lamb who's legs unfolded (like they were on hinges) as he held it in his arm.

Two young kids came out to enter a parked car near by and they were instantally grilled by the second younger officer......."Are you responsible for this"! They were not, and were quite shocked to see the lamb in the arms of the other officer.

We called today to find out what happened, and we hope the lamb made it to a nice local farm somewhere!

Only in Georgia!:D

Or to a nice barbecue...mmmm, grilled lamb chops! I just had some shoulder chops on Sunday, they're good eatin'!

I only wish I could find a butcher who can get me some mutton.

Prost!

Good picture. Now, someone named Mary said she is looking for a missing lamb.:D

This is a sign John. The world is changing. Many an author has written a story with the core element of a baby child being abandoned. Moses onwards.

Now when a ewe sneaks into a guy's truck and abandons her lamb hoping it will have a better home ... the times they are a changing. :)

Wait til the cows begin to unload

Well guys it certainly was an unexpected adventure. I have always

believed everything happens for a reason, especially when something happens

that you have had no hand in.

I don't know the situation that put that animal in my vehicle, but I did

everything in my power to keep it feeling calm and safe and getting it into the

hands of people prepaired to deliver it to a new home.

Protecting children and animals.......is there any better test of humanity?

My reward......lamb seemed relaxed and calm......SSR was just as nice as

when I parked it.:)

No little gifts in interior.:D

..................................

I would agree (about the animals):D I'm sure your a great guy!:)

If you would have seen the way this little animal looked at me when I opened

the door......you had to take care of it.

The wife has now contacted the Woodstock Police just to make sure the

little fellow made it safe and sound to animal control and a good home. She

has been informed that he is the talk of the Police Station and his photo has

been spread all around police channels.:D The wife asked if a photo could be

sent to her.....but no dice! Something about "Official Police Business"

They did tell her we could go visit if we like..........that may be on the

horizon!

Well, If you lived out in the sticks like I do in the non atlanta part of GA,there would have been plenty of pature room for it. Great to see you got to a safe place.
