Hi Guys

Obviously trying to get a KC (or even Conte) landing craft is a challenge - both out of stock - and cost on ebay is very high !!!

Has anyone used a 1:32 or 1:35 Italeri or Revell model? Do they work in terms of scale for a D-day landing diorama ? If so does anyone have any pictures

Also for damaged / abandoned vehicles what do other collectors use - do not want to beat up one of my nice new Shermans

Cheers

Landing craft - BMC cast the K&C LCVP in plastic. The detail is not as nice, but with some work they can be improved.

There is also a decent 1:32 scale LCVP plastic model kit by Lindberg. These castings go back to the 60s, although the model has been re-issued multiple times. Being an older model it could use detail work bu makes a nice LCVP.

There are several 1/35th models of the LCVP and the LCM

For detroyed vehicles I usually use some of the 21C or similar vehicles.

I second Binders recomendation on the BMC landing craft and amtracks. They are a direct recasting of K&C,s. You should be able to buy them at about $8 a piece.
