Another nice find Bernard. Do you know how many different figures Stadden made? How many do you have now?

Yo scott yeh, a real smart *** on Chas models now lol. The painted 90mm Chas made 212 models, plus five chess sets now wouldn't you just love to own a Chess set by Chas. But the 212 painted were put out as plain Pewter models as well, under the Buckingham Pewter Trade name. How many do I have they are in the albums man:).

Thanks Bernard. A chess set by Stadden that must be a real beauty. So by my reckoning only 190 more models to go ;)

Yo Troopers, The latest Chas model to join the ranks. Its the Irish Guards Mascot the Wolfhound, and as you can see an unusual type base for a Chas model. Come to think of it, I have not seen a Irish Wolfound for years now. The Wolfhound has been the Mascot since 1902, and are always presented to the guards by the Irish Wolfhound Dog Club, its a good advert for the breed. This model by Chas is Number 74 in the catalogue.
Will post a better photo when I get the model only bought it last night.:D

Hi Bernard,

Nice pick ups!!!

Thanks for sharing them. I have to admit I wish I had one of the Chess sets I had an opportunity to get one a while ago and passed. Not one of my smarter moves:rolleyes:

Anyway thanks for sharing

Dave

Yo Dave, just for interest what was the asking price for the set.
Bernard.

Hi Bernard,

If memory serves it was only a couple of hunderd dollars

But it was a while back. I think it was less than 300 but like I said it was a while ago

Dave

Yo Dave, just no answer for this one, it would be an automatic 50 of the infamous infraction points:mad: Ah well must have been the bargain of the Century:(:(:(:(.

Yo Troopers, just got the Irish Guards & Mascot. What another real stunning piece from the Chas Collection:D. Just another I stole from ebay, but then they leave the original Staddens alone and buy all the kit models or the TKS versions DOH. But its great for my bank balance lol. (trooper) never lets me down, as he points out the dog always wears a red jacket in the summer on parade, unless owing to extreme heat they leave it off so as not to cause the dog any stress due to the heat, and a grey coat in the winter to match the Guards Great Coats.
Bernard.

Very nice Bernard. I was browsing eBay yesterday and saw either the mounted Lifeguards or Blues & Royals by Stadden. Have you seen it. Probably not the best paint example though.
