So guys, any of the retirements you have to have?.This has to be one of the biggest hits re retirements for me.There are no less than five items i really want.AK Howitzer,Stug,FJ Dispatch rider,M/bike combo and Anti Tank gun.

I see the whole range of FJ's is being retired, does this suggest Andy is making room for something do we think?.

Rob

Better get them quick Rob. It might mean something is coming. Myself I got FJ dispatch rider, and bike combo I have all the rest of FJ. I still need or would like to get FOB 022, FOB 023, MG 014, and those LAH pieces. So not that bad for me this time. Im afraid one day it will be worse.

Yes i got in quick mate:).I really like the Crete FJ's and am hoping Andy may return to them one day.Congrats on the bikes, both are very nice sets.

it wasn't so bad for me, i needed the para with the umbrella of which i found, as for the french horse artillery, i think its a great set and would love to have it but trophy is my main source there. i have been lucky enough to guess right and stay ahead of the curve. i would say that next month we might see some sas or some bob british retired.

This round of retirements was tough, as I'd just started picking up the FJs (excellent range by the way). Was initially startled by the amount of FJs retired, but then realized that the newer FJs are essentially the same poses, but at $32/each vs. $25/each, so it may be an economics thing (if stock is running low on the Crete paint job probably easier/cheaper to just retire). Between the Market Garden and FJ retirements it has been an expensive couple months!

I was trying to hold out on the crete FJ,s , but because it was
One of the main areas of the war kiwis fought in I folded
[their goes that rubber arm again] with The vague notion that if
I ever going down the diorama route[battle of galatas etc ] That would be
my first point of call
Also got the para being retired and AK field gun , so it has blown my
Budget for a couple of months .

At least all the sets you got are cool Rob,that AK Howitzer is a must have.

Rob ,The field gun in particular is a favourite [its a set I already have
but wanted just a gun to be towed by the desert transport halftrack]
so collectors greed is partly to blame for my budget woes .

I did some early morning shopping myself. :D

Had to pick up some extra Old Guard Artillery Units - you just can't have one you know ! ;)

Got the Market Garden - MG14 - have to get those guys before the entire range are all retired ! :p :)

FOB 31 - French 75 Gun is on its way as well. :D

It was a costly little retirement month for me and forced me to push back on getting some of the newer items :(

I just ordered the brit rifelman & the scout from the market garden, dont want to miss those little guys :)

I may have to come up with some sort of toy soldier ponzi scheme,
Or on secound thoughts when I sit down and do my invoicing each month
I could just slip in a toy soldier set or two, plumbing fittings /toy soldier
Set codes who can tell the difference ;).

I've asked Tony to save me an FJ Motorcycle Combo when it comes in next week. That completes my FJ Crete set.

These FJ's are just flying off the shelves now,i see TF only has a couple of the sets left.Is this the first time a whole range has been retired in one go?.I hope they are being retired because more FJ's are on the way?.

This months releases seem a little light to me. Way more retirements. Thanks goodness I got my Napoleonics earlier. I was surprised the entire line of Crete Fallshirmjagers were retired........even more surprised they were gone on the K&C website the next day! If you are a WWI or LAH fan this month is great for you, luckily for my pocketbook I'm neither.
I'm really hoping we get some substantial additions to the WWII line including infantry, armour, airplanes, artillery and support vehicles from a variety of nationalities. Cheers the lot.

P.S. SS waiters, flower tables, chocolate cake???? gimme a break!

I think the next two dispatches could be very interesting for us WW2 collectors.

Hey - I like chocolate cake ! and little doggies too ! :D

LOL:D Me too capitolron, however when I want chocolate cake or the company of a dog I prefer the NON SS variety!!!

Hey Rob:

I cannot believe it but this was the kindest dispatches ever for me- nothing I need was retired!! I was so stunned I had to look at the dispatches two or three more times!! :D

This is good news as my defense budget is so overdrawn I may have to go to Capital Hill (with Ron at my side :D) to get in on the bailout.

Funny side story- I ordered (so I thought) the AK Stug when it first came out. When I showed up at the dealer's shop he had EA021, and SF06 and SF07 waiting for me!! WHAT!! How did I go from a Stug to a T62??:D It was actually a blessing in disguise as the last thing I need to do is open up the war in Africa and it finished my OIF series off.

On another note-- I think the WW1 figures look super cool.

Cheers
