Latest Updates from Conte (1 Viewer)

Thanks Joe. I would like to see the Romans in the flesh. Does anyone have one yet and if so, how do they compare in size to the old Conte Romans?

The NWF figures are amongst the best figures I've ever seen, from whomever. Just gorgeous. {bravo}} -- Al

Bill...I have the Flying Barbarian...and several sets of the "old Romans"...I think the new Romans are spectacular...the sculpting far exceeding the older Rome series...the may be just a pinch smaller...maybe only a half a pinch...but I think it would be negligable...they look like they match pretty close...the sculpting and painting on the new series...is that flat outstanding...top of the shelf...first class...

I like these sneak peeks but once again I would prefer to the final product painted up.

Good to see the NWF getting nearer as this is a great looking series.

The Roman Shield Wall looks good with 3 variations. With a catapult and a ballista and their shield wall I can't see the Romans losing this encounter. However it looks like there will be a lot of blood and gore.

Thanks much Mike, that is good to know.^&cool I am sure I will try some when they are finally released. I do love many of the things RC trys to do and my Greek / Persians are among my favorite things but the waiting and pre-orders of items that haven't even been sculpted yet is a bit of a strain. I don't care much for the new buzz that you need to reserve the items before you even see a protype photo or price to avoid missing out.^&confuse

Billl...I'm not sure you have to pre-order a piece so you won't miss out...I would never commit to buying an unpainted prototype from anyone...I would like to see the finished piece before I commit...I'm going to send Richard an email and ask him to clarify...he's pretty good about responding back...I'll relate what he says...

Bill and Michael Conte's policy on pre order sets and figures is that he notifies you once the figures or set become available and the price of them along with any special he maybe offering asking for you for confirmation of your order and your method of payment. If you don't respond to his notification because you decide not to buy that's the end of it. I'm sure his reasoning for suggesting pre-orders is to guide him in ordering the initial number of sets to run to fill the pre-orders orders received by both his customer an retailers as well as the inventory he wants to have on hand from the initial run. By the way Bill your welcome for the update an sorry for the delay in responding to it..........Joe

I like to look at Conte's projects. I do wish that he would re-visit WW2 Europe again - but that's just my particular area of interest.
